Date & Time: Thursday, November 16 at 7:00PM

Location: Scarritt-Bennett Center, 1008 19th Ave S, Nashville, Tennessee 37212

Description: Since 1999, International Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) has occurred annually on November 20 as a day to memorialize those who have been killed as a result of anti-transgender violence and transphobia. TDOR brings attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community and our resilience throughout difficult and demeaning times. This special day also allows for the transgender leaders of Nashville to come together and share space with our communities and loved ones. This year’s ceremony in Nashville will take place Thursday, November 16 at Wightman Chapel in the Scarritt-Bennett Center at 7:00PM and doors will open at 6:30PM. A reception with light refreshments and representatives from community organizations will follow the ceremony.

This event is sponsored by the Office of LGBTQI Life and many LGBTQ+-specific community organizations in Nashville.
