Be Creative in 2018! Register for an art class at Sarratt Art Studios!

Have the urge to explore your creativity? Want the opportunity to learn something new without the pressure of homework and exams? Is it time to explore working with your hands? How about a break from the desk and office computer?

Then consider an art class with Sarratt Art Studios! Located in Sarratt Student Center, we offer a variety of art classes that are taught by some of Nashville’s finest artisans. Explore dark room photography, get your hands dirty in beginning pottery, or learn to shape and design metal into jewelry. Maybe you always wanted to learn to draw or paint? Try one of our beginning levels of drawing or watercolor. Do you have a digital camera but have no clue how to use the manual settings? Then we have the class for you as well!

Sarratt Art Studios offers 12 week and 6 week courses that meet one night a week for 2 hours. Tuition and lab fees are very affordable and we are open to anyone ages 18 and older from the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities.

Save The Date For the Annual Holiday Arts Festival 

Join us for the Annual Sarratt Holiday Arts Festival, December 1 – 9 2017.  For those of you familiar with our annual event, these are new dates for the festival.

The Festival is the place to find unique hand-crafted items for everyone on your gift list and maybe something wonderful for yourself as well.  Every year we invite Nashville and Vanderbilt artisans, jewelers, potters, fiber artists, print makers with wonderful gift items for you. We also feature some delicious “giftables” from Bang Candy Co. and Soberdough. You can also shop with Thistle Farms’ selection of candies, lotions and balms that are sure to bring comfort and joy to the holiday season. Our artisans this year include: jewelers – Susan Moody, Nancie Roark and JoEl Loguidice; glass ornaments from Fire Nation; pottery created by David Heustess, Liz Friend and Laurie Box Graham; hand printed cards by Jenni Ohnstad and Shona Cowart; hand dyed silks scarves by David Heustess.

The Sarratt Holiday Arts Festival is an annual fund raiser for Sarratt Art Studios and the Sarratt Youth Art Institute. Join us daily on the main floor in the Sarratt Gallery from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
