The next Holocaust Lecture Series event will be a screening of the film Monsieur Mayonnaise, which will be held at the Belcourt Theatre on Thursday, November 9th at 7:30pm. The film follows artist and filmmaker Philippe Mora as he investigates his father’s clandestine role in the French Resistance in WWII, and his mother’s miraculous escape en route to Auschwitz.

Vanderbilt’s 2018 Interfaith Spring Break is now accepting applications! The Vanderbilt Interfaith Spring Break to Washington, D.C. will occur from Saturday, March 3, 2018 to Thursday, March 8, 2018, and the application form can be found on the Religious Life AnchorLink page. The Office of the University Chaplain and Religious Life is once again partnering with the International Student and Scholar Services and the Interfaith Council to plan the trip, which explores the meaning of faith between several religions through guided visits and explorations of religious sites.

On November 8th, Project Dialogue will be co-hosting Vanderbilt University’s Fall 2017 Veritas Forum, on the topic “Can Science Explain Everything?.” The event will feature a discussion between MIT’s Dr. Ian Hutchinson and Vanderbilt University’s Dr. David Weintraub, and will take place in Langford Auditorium at 7:00pm. On November 7th, Project Dialogue will be hosting its next “Food For Thought” event, in which Vanderbilt faculty members engage with students at the dinner table over the question “How did you decide to do what you do?”. This installment will feature Dr. Jaco Hamman, Associate Professor of Religion, Psychology, and Culture, and will take place at 5:30pm in the OUCRL building.
