The Center for Student Wellbeing and the Psychological and Counseling Center and the are offering MAPS trainings to interested students, faculty, and staff. This training is designed to present knowledge for “gatekeepers”; ie, individuals who have knowledge about the signs and symptoms indicative of suicide risk. It is not intended to develop counseling skills but rather to develop the skills needed to recognize concerns and refer when indicated.
Kognito At Risk
We have access to At Risk from Kognito. This interactive program will develop your ability to recognize the signs of distress, approach students you are worried about, and refer students to appropriate support services. To increase the safety net for our students, we encourage all faculty, staff, and students to participate.
