You are invited to the Peabody Dean’s Diversity Lecture on Thursday, February 2nd from 1-4pm at the Wyatt Center Rotunda.

Fostering Student Success: Employing Validation, High-Impact Practices, and an Asset-based Framework

The next event in the Peabody College Dean’s Diversity Lecture Series will be an interactive workshop by Dr.Laura Rendon addressing three areas of importance as colleges and universities seek to foster student success. These include:

  • Engaging faculty and staff in actively validating and supporting students,
  • Employing pedagogic innovations that result in high-impact practices and deep learning experiences, and
  • Working with an asset-based student success framework that acknowledges student strengths and community cultural wealth.

The workshop is open to Vanderbilt faculty, staff, students, and the public and will take place from 1 – 4 p.m. in the Rotunda of the Wyatt Center, 1930 South Drive, Nashville, TN 37203. Lunch will be provided. The Dean’s Diversity Lecture at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College is designed to host frank and open discussions about race, diversity, and inclusion.
