OHARE Seeking RA Applicants

The Office of Housing and Residential Education will soon be seeking applicants for the 2017-2018 Resident Adviser (RA) position. An RA is a paraprofessional student staff member who assists 30-60 residents in a variety of ways — from serving as a mentor to developing community, from encouraging responsible citizenship to upholding university policies and more. This is a people-oriented position that requires emotional maturity, self-awareness, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

• The online application will open on Monday October 17, 2016.
• Applications will close on Monday December 5, 2016 at 11:59pm.
• All candidates are required to attend only one information session for their application to be considered:
  • Tuesday, October 11th – Commons Center Room 335 – 7pm – 8pm
  • Monday, October 17th – Commons Center Room 335 – 8pm – 9pm
  • Monday, October 24th  – Kissam Center Classroom 216 – 5pm – 6pm
  • Wednesday, October 26th – Lewis Lounge (Highland Quad) – 8pm – 9pm
  • Wednesday, October 26th – Commons Center Room 335 – 8pm – 9pm
  • Thursday, November 3rd – Alumni Hall Classroom 201 – 5pm – 6pm
  • Tuesday, November 15th – Sarratt 325 – 11am – Noon
• Applicants must meet a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 at the time of hire as well as maintain throughout employment and be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
