The Psychological and Counseling Center and the Office of Wellness Programs & Alcohol Education is offering two MAPS trainings to interested students, faculty, and staff. This training is designed to present knowledge for “gatekeepers”; ie, individuals who have knowledge about the signs and symptoms indicative of suicide risk. It is not intended to develop counseling skills but rather to develop the skills needed to recognize concerns and refer when indicated.

Kognito At Risk
I wanted to remind you that we also have access to At Risk from Kognito. This interactive program will develop your ability to recognize the signs of distress, approach students you are worried about, and refer students to appropriate support services. To increase the safety net for our students, we encourage all faculty, staff, and students to participate.
