Sarratt Gallery presents “Abstracting the Quintessence”

Sarratt Gallery is pleased to present “Abstracting the Quintessence” by San Francisco artist, David Avery.  Mr. Avery’s printed work may appear at first to be illustrations for children’s stories. After closer inspection one will find that his black-and-white prints depict nightmarish, creepy dreamscapes in excessive detail, with layered symbols like memento mori skeletons, disembodied hands, serpents and flowers.  The exhibit is open daily in Sarratt Gallery through April 1, 2016.
