Liv Parks (pronouns they/them), program coordinator in the Office of LGBTQI Life, was recently elected as a South/Southeastern representative for the Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals.

The Consortium (http://lgbtcampus.org) is the national organization for individuals who work in campus LGBT Centers and/or do LGBT equity work on college campuses. The combined vision and mission of the Consortium is to achieve higher education environments in which lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni have equity in every respect.

In their role, Liv will assist with member and non-member institutions in the southeast to gain access to continuing professional development, education, advocacy, and support resources. In addition, they will work to maintain a network of professionals in the southeast and communicate regional needs to the leadership of the Consortium.

We congratulate Liv on their achievement!
