The Office of Active Citizenship and Service, the Center for Student Professional Development, and the Department of Political Science are pleased to announce that 24 exceptional students have been selected for the 2016 Vanderbilt Internship Experience in Washington (VIEW) Program cohort. Cohort members will kick off their VIEW experience with participation in the MLK Weekend of Action as they explore the meaning and role of active citizenship in the community by volunteering with the residents of Morningside of Belmont. VIEW students will continue to explore these roles through their PSCI 289A course, which provides professional development, exploration of leading social change, and the opportunity to hear from community and national leaders. The curricular component of the VIEW program will culminate in an eight-week summer internship experience in Washington, D.C.
