The 2016 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration at Vanderbilt is fast approaching and will host Civil Rights Leader and VU Alum Rev. James Lawson on January 18, 2016. The Office of the University Chaplain and Religious Life is proud to be the home to the Commemoration and partners with the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center to plan, promote, and execute an amazing schedule of events. Leading off with a Weekend of Service on the two days prior to the holiday, the Office of Active Citizenship and Service help coordinate service projects all around Middle Tennessee for students to engage in and give back to the community.
