Announcing the Spring 2016 Safe Zone Trainings!

Posted by on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in archives.

The Safe Zone program aims to create a visible network of support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI) individuals and their allies.  This program creates an educational experience and provides an avenue through which any member of the Vanderbilt Community can show their support for LGBTQI students and individuals.

This workshop is a three-hour commitment that encourages students, faculty, and staff to explore their personal identities, cultural identities, privilege, and what it means to be an Ally. After attending this workshop and creating an Ally Pledge, you have the choice to take a Safe Zone placard to physically showcase support in your office or room.

  • Wednesday, January 27 from 5-8PM in Rand 208 Classroom
  • Wednesday, March 2 from 12-3PM in Sarratt 325/327

Register for a Safe Zone here (required). RSVP on Anchor Link.
