Office of Wellness Programs & Alcohol Education hosts Great American Smokeout

Posted by on Friday, November 13, 2015 in archives.

On Thursday, November 19th, the Office of Wellness Programs & Alcohol Education will host our annual Great American Smokeout Day. Our office encourages tobacco and marijuana users to plan in advance and quit using the day of the Smokeout or to make a plan to quit on a future date. In observance of Great American Smokeout Day, we provide Vanderbilt students, faculty, and staff with free Quit Kits to help in their pursuit of a tobacco and marijuana-free lifestyle. Outside of our annual event, the University offers several resources for those who are interested in curbing their smoking habit and reducing their risk of illness.

Vanderbilt University is committed to providing a healthy, comfortable and productive environment for its students, faculty, and staff. Join us and pick up a Quit Kit Thursday, Nov. 19 at Rand from 11am-2pm and Commons 11:30am-1:30pm!  Also, keep a lookout for “Coughy” the cigarette as they will be passing out kits as well.
