OACS Global Service Programming – Accepting Applications

Applications are now live for the OACS global service programs to London, South Africa, Ecuador, and Morocco! Please encourage all interested students to attend upcoming info sessions on Nov. 3rd and Nov. 11th and check out our webpage for more details. Applications are due November 15th.

Global Service Reflection Dinner

On Thursday, November 5th the student participants from last summer’s global service programs to London, South Africa, Ecuador, and Morocco will gather with the Nichols, faculty, and staff for a celebratory and reflective dinner serving as the capstone event for their experiences.

 

VIEW – Accepting Applications

The Vanderbilt Internship Experience in Washington, D.C. (VIEW) is now accepting applications. Please help spread the word about this opportunity that has been available through OACS for the last 11 years. Clive is leading info sessions in Sarratt|Rand 308 on Nov. 6th at 2:00pm and Nov. 10th at 5:00pm. Redefine Launching Soon

Redefine, a collaborative program between OACS and ISSS will soon begin accepting applications for the spring semester. This dynamic program enters its second year connecting American and international students through conversations and experiences of service and social justice, particularly focusing on how they are expressed across countries.

Nichols Humanitarian Fund – Reception and Applications

On Oct. 22nd, OACS hosted the Nichols Humanitarian Fund annual reception to thank Ed and Janice Nichols for the generous support they give students to do service in local and international communities. For information about the fund in general and last year’s recipients and their projects in particular, please visit the Nichols Humanitarian Fund webpage. The deadline for this year’s applicants is November 15th, and OACS encourages all DOS partners to help spread the word to any students seeking financial support for a local or global service project they may have in mind.
