Second Mandatory FERPA Training on October 6th

Posted by on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in archives.

The Dean of Students arranged a pair of FERPA (Family Education Rights & Privacy Act) training sessions for DoS staff. The sessions will be conducted by the University Registrar and his staff. Attendance at one or the other is mandatory for all DoS staff who have not attended FERPA training conducted by the Office of University Registrar within the past two years.  If you were unable to attend the first training, the second training is coming up soon!

Most, if not all, of us have completed the online FERPA training offered by the University, but may not have attended a live training session offered by the Registrar’s office. Completion of online FERPA module is not a substitute for the live training.

Staff needing to attend the last session may enroll by completing the Anchor Link form. https://anchorlink.vanderbilt.edu/form/start/80888

Details are as follows:

Tuesday, October 6 – 3:15pm-4:45pm – Kissam Center Multi-Purpose Room

Graduate students in the employ of the Dean of Students office may enroll in the sessions as well, and are encouraged to do so.
