Mandatory FERPA Training for DOS Staff

Posted by on Monday, September 14, 2015 in archives.

The Dean of Students is arranging a pair of FERPA (Family Education Rights & Privacy Act) training sessions for DoS staff. The sessions will be conducted by the University Registrar and his staff. Attendance at one or the other is mandatory for all DoS staff who have not attended FERPA training conducted by the Office of University Registrar within the past two years.

Most, if not all, of us have completed the online FERPA training offered by the University, but may not have attended a live training session offered by the Registrar’s office. Completion of online FERPA module is not a substitute for the live training.
Staff needing to attend one or the other of the two sessions may enroll by completing the Anchor Link form. https://anchorlink.vanderbilt.edu/form/start/80888

Details are as follows:

Thursday, September 24 – 10:15am-11:45am – Kissam Center Multi-Purpose Room

Tuesday, October 6 – 3:15pm-4:45pm – Kissam Center Multi-Purpose Room

Graduate students in the employ of the Dean of Students office may enroll in the sessions as well, and are encouraged to do so.
