Call for Proposals
2015 WHET Annual Conference
“Pathways to Success”
October 22-23, 2015
Middle Tennessee State University
Murfreesboro, TN

The Cambridge Dictionary defines success as “the achieving of desiredresults, or someone or something that achievespositiveresults”. As such, “Success” is an ideal that can take on different forms for different people. For some, success means moving upward in their careers, for others it may mean earning an advanced degree, and for others it may be continuing to excel in their current position. For this year’s annual conference, WHET invites presentations that cover a broad spectrum of topics that will help participants gain personal and professional knowledge as they traverse their own, unique “Pathways to Success”. We are looking forward to receiving a variety of proposals that appeal to female higher education faculty, staff, and administration, as well as graduate students. Some possible topics might include, but would not be limited to:

  • Paving a Path to the Presidency
  • On the Right Track for Tenure
  • Drive to 55: Mapping a Plan for Student Success, Retention, and Graduation
  • The Fork in the Road: After Grad School, What’s Next?
  • GPS for a Successful Mentoring Relationship: Guiding, Promoting, Supporting
  • Navigating a Successful Doctoral Program

Formats may include individual or group presentations, as well as round-table and panel discussions, and should be one hour in length. The deadline for proposals is August 21, 2015. Each proposal will be reviewed by the Conference Program Committee, and you will be notified within two weeks of submission of the proposal’s acceptance status.
