Posted by on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in archives.

We are pleased to welcome Liv Parks (pronouns they/them/their) as the new program coordinator in the Office of LGBTQI Life.

Liv comes to us from Missouri State University where they received both their undergraduate and graduate degrees. While completing their masters in student affairs in higher education, they served as a graduate assistant in the office of Greek Life advising the NPHC council. At MSU, Liv was involved in the creation of the LGBTQ resource center, founded and co-chaired the student affairs multiculturalism + cultural competence committee, and served as a safe zone facilitator. Last March, Liv presented at the ACPA annual convention on “Trans+ and Title IX: Moving from Mandates to Equitable Inclusion.” They can be reached at liv.parks@vanderbilt.edu.

The program coordinator is responsible for the leadership and programming aspects of the office. This includes coordinating with undergraduate and graduate student groups, as well as planning and executing all major events and educational programming.
