DOS GA Professional Development – Call for Proposals
Beginning in Fall 2015 Office of the Dean of Students will provide a monthly, one hour lunch and learn professional development session for our graduate assistants and other affiliated graduated students. Returning graduate students were asked to complete a survey describing the types of professional development sessions they would find most interesting and relevant.
As a result, we are asking interested DOS professional staff to lead professional development sessions. If you are interested in leading a professional development session, please email Laura Walaszek Dermody (laura.a.walaszek@vanderbilt.edu) with:
(1) the title of your presentation
(2) brief abstract/outline of the presentation
Special consideration will be given to presentations that fall under the following categories:
- Best and Innovative Practices in Higher Education (looking in the literature/national landscape to learn about promising practices)
- Career Development
- Current Topics in Higher Education (discussions regarding current controversies/developments in higher ed)
- Multicultural Competencies
