New Cell Phone Policy
The Office of the Dean of Students has adopted a new cell phone policy.
BACKGROUND: Many University divisions have recently implemented new cell phone policies including VUMC which stopped all provision of cell phones, and VUIT which adopted a stipend based model. Plant Operations and Business Services are also in the process of defining new policies in their areas. The new DOS policy improves consistency and produces cost savings for our division, reduces workload for staff involved with management and support of University issued cell phones, and recognizes changes in technology which have resulted in most individuals having cell phones for personal use.
