New Expo of Wearable Art Opens in Nashville Nashville’s debut edition of art2wear will open with a Preview Gala, Friday, May 24, from 5 to 9:30 PM. Guests at the preview party will enjoy sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, strolling musicians, and the first chance to see and buy incredible works of wearable art.

In addition to the opportunity to see and buy unique works of works of wearable art, guests at art2wear’s Grand Showcases, on Saturday May 25 (10AM to 6PM) and Sunday May 26 (11AM to 5PM), will delight in surprise treats, and qualify to register for numerous door prizes.

The event is ticketed, with tickets to the Preview Gala on Friday evening priced at $30 per person in advance (online), and $35 at the door; tickets to the Grand Showcases on Saturday May 25 and Sunday May 26, are priced at $10 per person in advance, or at the door. Advance tickets for each day may be purchased online at art2wearnashville.eventbrite.com , or through the ticket link at www.2wear.org.

The Commodore Ballroom, site of art2wear, is located in the University’s Student Life Center at 310 – 25th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37240. As school will be out, there will be abundant Free Parking on campus, in the main garage, at the SE corner of 25th Avenue South and Highland Avenue, as well as at all campus meters.

Proceeds from tickets to the Nashville show will benefit Vanderbilt’s Sarratt Art Studios’ summer programs for children. The event will become an annual feature on Nashville’s arts calendar, and will extend Nashville area artists’ opportunities to show their work in an additional 12 to 18 cities per year.

ArtWorks Foundation, producer of the event, is a non-profit (501{c}3) dedicated to encouraging public awareness of the importance of a vibrant and active arts community, and to promoting interest in collecting fine-craft by artists in the Southeast through exhibitions and education programs.
