Update from Staff Advisory Council
Through communication, consultation, and service Staff Council promotes a strong partnership amongst the staff, faculty, students and administration of Vanderbilt University. We are a group of over 90 staff that have been elected by our peers to act as an advisory group and line of communication between staff and administration. Most recently, we made a recommendation for better support for breastfeeding mothers on campus. As a result, there are now lactation rooms available within a ten minute walk from anywhere on campus. Our staff life committee tackled this issue after hearing feedback from staff about the lack of proper lactation spaces. Our goal is to work together with staff and administration to make Vanderbilt a better place for all of the Vanderbilt community.
