Ad Ratings
Each week, we pair up two or three campaign ads and randomly assign 1,000 people to rate them using a real-time ratng tool developed by G2 Analytics and SageEngage. With survey tools from YouGov, we also ask people questions about the quality and fairness of the ads as well as their thoughts about the candidates or groups in the ads. Since we randomly assign the ads people see, we can compare the relative effects of each ad. When all the analysis is done, we give each ad a score — that’s it’s SpotCheck score, an overal estimate of the effectiveness of the ad.
