SEAL – Annual Dues and Conference Reminders
Dear SEAL members,
Greetings! I am writing to you for two purposes.
First, a gentle reminder to pay your SEAL dues for 2012 ($45) if you have not already done so. Your dues provide the funding for recurring SEAL expenses such as administrative assistance, web hosting, and conference planning. We have made this easy by enabling you to pay by credit card or PayPal on the SEAL website at this link:http://law.vanderbilt.edu/seal/duespay.htm (and here is a shortcut less likely to be broken by line wrapping in your mail program: http://tinyurl.com/cfbtpx ). If you have a PayPal account but wish to pay by credit card, you might need to hit the “continue without logging in” button after filling in your credit card information. If you have any trouble, Ms. Christie Bishop (615.322.1435, christie.bishop@vanderbilt.edu ) can help you with the process.
Second, if you are attending the upcoming SEAL conference at Emory Law School on April 19-20:
SEAL XIII at Emory Law School is just 2 months away, so I offer these brief reminders and news items:
1. Registration fees rise from $175 to $250 after March 30th. Information is here: (http://law.vanderbilt.edu/seal/conferences/2012conference/2012conferenceregform.htm)
2. All presenters and attendees must be 2012 dues paid members (http://law.vanderbilt.edu/seal/duespay.htm) and have paid registration (http://law.vanderbilt.edu/seal/conferences/2012conference/2012conferenceregform.htm).
3. Hotel and travel information are available at:http://law.vanderbilt.edu/seal/conferences/2012conference/2012conferencehotels.htm.
I hope to see many of you at SEAL XIII, which promises to be a wide-ranging and interesting discussion with talks on such diverse subjects as biotechnology patent law, the evolution of coordination, the adaptive use of narrative, computational linguistics, and the neuroscience of law and legal theory (and that is just a small sampling). In addition, we are very excited to have Melvin Konner as the keynote speaker at the conference.
Please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions.
Best,
Julie
