Robin Jones (he, him, his) is an associate professor and vice chair of diversity, equity and inclusion in the department of hearing and speech sciences, and the director of the developmental stuttering laboratory. His research is interdisciplinary and focuses on speech-language, cognitive, emotional, and genetic contributions to the pathogenesis of developmental stuttering as well as the translation of this work to diagnosis and treatment. To address these research questions, his lab uses a diverse set of approaches and methods, including caregiver report, behavioral, and neuro- and psycho-physiological measures. In his role as vice chair, Professor Jones closely collaborates with a committee of faculty, clinicians, staff, and students serving to cultivate a diverse and inclusive community within the department of hearing and speech sciences and more broadly in the discipline. Jones joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2013 and has been head of Warren College since 2024.
