East House
Elizabeth Meadows (she, her, hers) is the director of the Office of Undergraduate Education and assistant dean of the College of Arts and Science, and principal senior lecturer in the department of English. She is responsible for all aspects of the undergraduate curriculum, including development of academic policies, approval of new majors and minors, and support for advising. A scholar of Victorian literature and culture, Elizabeth teaches courses ranging from surveys of 19th-century novels to seminars examining the literary history and cultural function of genres like detective novels and dystopian fiction. Elizabeth and the family dog Luna (the East Beast) are looking forward to building a community at East through sharing food, fellowship, and fun. At East, students will discover how living, working, and talking together create transformative learning experiences as part of our daily lives.
