CommonVU Orientation

The CommonVU Orientation schedule will be available by July 1, 2025.

The required CommonVU Orientation begins on Move-In Day (Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025) and offers activities and programs for first-year students to introduce you to the living-learning communities of your houses and The Ingram Commons, the faculties and academic classes of your schools, the norms and values of the Vanderbilt community, upper-division students and their organizations, and Nashville. Additionally, you will meet your student and faculty VUceptors who will serve as guides throughout your first semester at Vanderbilt.

Parents and families are invited to join in on Saturday, Aug. 16, with specialized programming in the evening. More information about these sessions will be available in July. Beginning on Sunday, Aug. 17, all programming is for students only.
