Hampton Carter joined the Research Development and support team in 2022. In his previous role, Hampton managed Limited Submission Opportunities (LSOs) for the university as well as the Internal Award Programs offered by the Vice Provost of Research and Innovation. As of July 2024, Hampton’s focus includes supporting faculty in the development of funding proposals, identifying external sponsors that align with faculty research interests, and the development of sponsor relationships. Hampton received his B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from Vanderbilt University in 2021, and he intends to pursue a Ph.D. in Philosophy in the upcoming years. Before joining the RDS team, Hampton was an Administrative Assistant in the Vanderbilt University Department of Biochemistry.
