Join Millions of Conversations, Vanderbilt Religious Life, and Vanderbilt Global Education Office (GEO) for #PledgeToListen: Exploring Truth and Reconciliation, the first event of the 2021 Conversationalist Series. Governance and elections expert, Dr. Kareem Crayton, will speak with mediation and labor law expert, Dr. Mohamed Alli Chicktay, about the limits and possibilities of truth and reconciliation. Using learnings from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in South Africa, Dr. Crayton and Dr. Chicktay will engage in a conversation about the potential for justice and accountability to build sustainable peace in the United States. This event is designed to be interactive, and will give participants the opportunity to discuss truth, reconciliation, and lessons for dialogue from the #PledgeToListen.
