The focus will be on promoting self-care engagement in healthy behaviors, improving clinical outcomes, and enhancing quality of life for patients with cardiovascular disease and their family caregivers through dyadic and individual approaches.

Full Description

This full-time position offers a mentored training experience in research cardiovascular disease management and research on cardiovascular risk reduction, emphasizing the development of interventions to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors (e.g., low sodium diet, nutritious eating, stress management, symptom management, sleep health, and physical activity). The training will emphasize both individual (patient-centered or caregiver-centered) and/or patient-caregiver dyadic approaches, providing a strong foundation on self-care strategies for patients with heart failure, hypertension, and related conditions, and informal caregivers of patients with chronic diseases. 
Activities include day-to-day oversight of research study activities, preparation of research study protocols and materials, data collection and data management, dissemination of research findings, development of scientific manuscripts as lead author or co-author, presentation of research findings at conferences, writing grant proposals, and performance of other related duties. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a team member are essential.
