Postdoctoral Research Position in Early Adversity and Child Development

Join Dr. Kathryn Humphreys, director of the Vanderbilt Stress and Early Adversity (SEA) Lab, a dynamic and collaborative research group dedicated to exploring the early experiences, brain development, and interventions aimed at improving child and family outcomes.

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a strong interest in early life adversity and excellent quantitative, writing, and data management skills. The successful candidate will contribute to a range of research activities, including data cleaning, processing, and analysis, manuscript preparation, grant writing, and providing scientific oversight for ongoing studies in the lab. Responsibilities will also include supervising and mentoring more junior trainees by reviewing and editing/co-authoring their written products. Key Responsibilities:
• Cleaning, processing, and analyzing data
• Writing and contributing to manuscripts for dissemination
• Assisting with grant applications

• Supervising and mentoring junior trainees, including reviewing and editing written work

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in developmental psychology, clinical psychology, or a related discipline
• Strong quantitative skills and experience with longitudinal data
• Proficiency in data cleaning and data management
• Strong writing and editing skills (e.g., for grants and publications)
• A proven track record of publications in refereed journals
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
