Full Description

The Institute for Software Integrated Systems (ISIS) in the School of Engineering at Vanderbilt University invites applications for Postdoctoral Researcher positions in the area of Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) with emphasis on (1) security and resilience, (2) real-time and embedded systems, and (3) AI/ML in engineered systems. These are strategic research areas at ISIS that are currently realized through a portfolio of projects (https://www.isis.vanderbilt.edu/research). Our goal is the development of new foundations for the secure design and analysis of CPS. The postdoctoral scholars, supervised by Professors Ward, Koutsoukos, and Biswas, will have the opportunity to get involved in the development of theoretical foundations, development of software tools, and systems/experimental research using real-life problems.

We are seeking motivated postdoctoral researchers with a solid technical background and experience in areas related to security and resilience, real-time and embedded computing, CPS, and AI/ML in engineered systems. Experience in software design and development, and the ability to link theoretical results to systems/experimental work are highly valued. A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field is required. ISIS (www.isis.vanderbilt.edu) is a premier research institute in the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering with 22 faculty, 42 research scientists and engineers, and more than 60 graduate students with sponsored funding that currently exceeds $20 million a year. ISIS is affiliated with the Department of Computer Science (https://engineering.vanderbilt.edu/cs/).
