The Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellowship in operations/technology strategy or information systems. The position will work closely with faculty on projects to examine the operations, economics, or strategic aspects of information systems with particular interest subareas such as AI, cyber security, or healthcare. The candidate will be housed at Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management but will have the opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team spanning computer science, economics, healthcare, and business. Candidates must have a background in Operations/Technology Strategy, Information Systems, Medical Informatics, Health Economics, or related Business background. Educational backgrounds could come from several areas including a PhD in: • Business (Management Information Systems/Technology/Operations/Strategy) • Medical Informatics • Information Science • Health Economics Our preference is for candidates who have recently completed their PhD (post-doc). Candidates with more experience who have direct interest in this research area are also welcomed to apply. We are interested in candidates who will produce research of excellent quality that will have significant impact on the field. The successful candidate could start in August 2024 for a one-year appointment (with the possibility of renewal for an additional year). Salary commensurate with degree and experience including an excellent benefits package.

The Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University is dedicated exclusively to graduate management education. It has an enrollment of over 600 full‐time students in its full‐time MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Science in Finance, Masters of Accountancy, Masters of Marketing, and Masters of Management in Health Care programs. The school's 50+ full‐time faculty members are actively engaged in research, which is supported in part through the school's four research centers. Owen enrolls students from all parts of the United States and over 40 countries.
