A postdoctoral position is available in the Communication and Language Lab in the Department of Psychology and Human Development at Vanderbilt University.
We are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to support joint research projects at Vanderbilt University (PI, Dr. Duane Watson) and the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. These projects explore the perception and production of prosody, rhythm, hearing, and speech in patient populations. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge of speech sciences and expertise in language perception, production, and prosody. She/he/they should have expertise in experimental design, programming, and the collection of data from participants.
Additional desired skills include using digital tools to manipulate acoustic stimuli, experience with Praat, as well as an interest in applying this knowledge to studying patient populations, including individuals with cochlear implants, autism, and Down Syndrome. She/he/they should be eager to work in a collaborative team, and have a demonstrated record of academic achievement.
