Current Opportunities at Vanderbilt

We are seeking qualified postdoctoral candidates to work on projects measuring human electrophysiology (EEG and event-related potentials) in the response to cinema. The project explores attention, memory, reflection and, ultimately, deeper understandings derived from the experience of viewing morally-challenging films. The postdoc (with a PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, or communications) will be trained to apply electrophysiological methods to the sequence of audio-visual events inherent to cinema in project funded by the Templeton Foundation. Competitive candidates will have a strong publication record and experience in experimental psychology, communications/film and/or electrophysiology, as well as strong computer and data analysis skills.
