Kito Huggins
It was announced on April 23, 2018, that Kito Huggins, VP10 and class of 1996, was named to the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust. Huggins of NYC is the first student in the College Posse Scholarship Program to earn a law degree. During his years at Vanderbilt, he was president of the Vanderbilt Student Government. He is a member of the Chancellor’s ‘Dores of Distinction and is an active supporter of numerous alumni activities. A Double ‘Dore, he earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education in 1996 and a law degree in 1999.

It was also announced on April 23, 2018 that Kenya, VP 25 and class of 2018 was elected as VU Board of Trust’s Young Alumni Leader for a two year term to begin July 1, 2021 following a three year term on board of the Vanderbilt Alumni Association. Kenya served as President of VUcept, a university-wide mentorship program. She is passionate about equity in healthcare and in education.
