PCB has won two Stevie Awards—the first time the university has been recognized by the world's premier business awards. More than 3,600 international nominations were submitted for a wide range of categories.

Through strategic vision, collaboration, and a focus on people, processes, technology, and data, PCB has redefined its impact, aligning with the university's mission and setting new standards for HR excellence in higher education.
Human Resources Department of the Year
The winning achievements included:
Reimagining HR: Under Dr. Savion's leadership, HR merged into PCB, featuring five Centers of Expertise that focus on people experience and holistic support.
Vanderbilt Voyage Onboarding: This revamped program ensures a seamless transition for new staff emphasizing "moments that matter”.
Belonging Collaborative: This initiative develops a unified belonging strategy with measurable outcomes, fostering collaborative, data-driven growth.
Project Polaris: Introduces a skills-based job architecture for clear career progression, ensuring fairness and transparency.
AI-Powered Chatbot: Developed with the Generative AI Engineering team, this chatbot automates tasks and improves efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Collaboration with VUPS: Launched an innovative Equity and Engagement SMS alert system to ensure timely notifications and engagement in the complaint resolution process.

Workplace Health and Wellbeing
The winning achievements included:
Expanded Financial Wellness Resources: The Employee Critical Support Fund, designed to alleviate temporary financial hardship among staff, more than tripled its maximum annual benefit, from $650 to $2,000. Additionally, the center enriches financial skills through webinars on topics like budgeting and retirement planning, alongside personalized advice from expert financial counselors.
Best-In-Class Employee Assistance Program: Partnered with Lyra Health to provide a range of mental health and coaching services that go beyond the scope of typical EAPs. Originally granting four free therapy sessions annually to staff in 2022, the benefit grew in 2023, now granting twelve sessions each to employees, their spouses, and their dependents aged two years and older. Employees have the option to continue with the same provider at an affordable in-network cost.

Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group recognized the America’s Greatest Workplaces in the United States, by conducting a large-scale employer study based on over 1.5 million comprehensive company reviews from over 250,000 employees. Vanderbilt University received the following awards:
