Summer Housing for Non-Vanderbilt Students and Guests
To support the housing needs of non-Vanderbilt students and guests participating in Vanderbilt summer research programs, the Office of Housing and Residential Experience (OHARE) has provided a web-based Off-Campus Housing Service and other local lodging options below.
Off-Campus Housing Service
We encourage you to visit the Off-Campus Housing Service for information about local rentals.
How to use the service:
- Non-Vanderbilt students can use this service for 30 days.
- Register as a guest here.
- Listings are searchable by cost, distance from campus, number of bedrooms, and other parameters.

Scarritt Bennett Center
Scarritt Bennett Center is a nonprofit conference, retreat, and education center located in Nashville, TN a block from the Vanderbilt campus, and minutes from Belmont, Lipscomb, Hillsboro Village, 12S, Midtown, and more.
Guests of Scarritt Bennet can stay in one of their three historic residence halls. Rooms are “suite-style”, and include two sleeping rooms, most with twin-sized beds, adjoined by a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Each suite is equipped with one TV with streaming capabilities, a mini-fridge with a freezer, a microwave, and a dual drip coffee maker/Keurig.
