Will Hemond

Research Assistant

Will Hemond serves as a Research Assistant for the Institute of National Security. In this role, he supports research, analyzes data and trends, develops presentations, and writes reports on pressing national security topics. As Research Assistant, Hemond works directly with the Founding Director and Institute advisors to advance the University’s thought leadership in national security.

Hemond graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Asian Studies with a Concentration in Chinese Language and Culture from Vanderbilt University, where he was also honored as an Ingram Scholar. Hemond previously worked researching national security policy at the Council on Foreign Relations in D.C. Originally from the Northeast, he is happy to return to Nashville and enjoy the warmer weather.
