Makenna Messina

Program Manager

Makenna Messina is a Program Manager for the Institute of National Security. As Program Manager, she aids in office operations and leading national security efforts through program, event, and project management. In this role, Messina leads the Institute’s education pillar, with the goal of developing national security leaders through interdisciplinary learning at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive education level.

Messina graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California with her M.A. in Leadership & Organizational Development M.A. and graduated from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody college with an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration. She is originally from Redmond, Washington and loves exploring all that Nashville has to offer.
