Gatan MTEST2000EW
The Gatan MTEST2000EW is a microtest stage that provides compressive, tensile, and flexural testing of solid samples up to a maximum force of 2kN. The MTEST2000EW can be used in-situ in the Q650 Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope (ESEM) for tensile and flexural testing and ex-situ for all testing types. The microtest stage utilizes a horizontal sample mounting system in order to keep areas of interest centered during ESEM imaging. Integrated software provides for adjustable loading conditions and records load-displacement data during testing. Use of the microtest stage in the ESEM provides for correlation of the data collected during mechanical testing with the physical changes seen in a sample’s microstructure.
Usage of the microtest stage is charged on an hourly basis. All training and reservations for the Gatan microtest stage are handled via MDERFH’s iLab Core.
