Allied Metprep 3^TM with Power Head

The Allied Metprep 3^TM Grinder/Polisher with Power Head provides for semi-automatic grinding and polishing of up to 3 samples at a time. The digital interface provides for up to 25 programmable steps with parameters for platen speed, comp/contra rotation between sample holder and platen, cycle time, fluid selection, sample force, sample rotation speed, water rinsing, and force reduction. Both standard and magnetic platens are available with this instrument, which can accommodate any 8” adhesive-backed or magnetic polishing/grinding disc or pad.

Usage of the Metprep 3^TM is charged on an hourly basis. All training and reservations for the Metprep 3^TM are handled via MDERFH’s iLab Core.
