Open Doors Data

Each year, ISSS submits annual university data on international students and scholars to the nationwide IIE Open Doors® Report on International Educational Exchange. The Open Doors report informs NAFSA, congress, state legislatures, chambers of commerce, and other entities with comprehensive data about international student and scholar trends and their economic impact in the U.S.

Below is a visual summary of data about Vanderbilt’s international student and scholar community over the years. The interactive display allows you to view trends in international student enrollment, top major fields of study, and countries of citizenship represented by our international community at VU from 2016-2022. New data will be added yearly.
