The Culture of Irish Music in America
TPAC’s Polk Theater
Eileen Ivers is an original musical star of the hit show Riverdance and has been named All-Ireland Fiddle Champion nine times. Being an Irish-American, born in the Bronx to Irish immigrants, Eileen incorporates the multicultural sounds of her childhood and adult experience to the traditional Irish music of her roots. The Washington Post writes, “She suggests the future of the Celtic fiddle.” Come learn about the journey of a virtuosic musician and enjoy Eileen Ivers and Immigrant Soul.

The Culture of a Neighborhood
TPAC’s Polk Theater
The Tennessee Repertory Theatre’s production of the Tony award-winning play Clybourne Park sets the stage for an open discussion about the culture of neighborhoods and how and why they change over time. With one act of the play set in 1959 and the other in 2009, our panelists will discuss past and present community patterns and how we relate to our neighbors.
