Brittany Cowfer is a Molecular and Cellular Biology major from Jacksonville, Florida. Brittany is founder and President of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Vanderbilt, three-year Alternative Spring Break site leader, sister of Alpha Omicron Pi, past member of the Spirit of Gold Marching Band Color Guard, and Camper Care Co-coordinator for Camp Kesem, a new student-run summer camp for children of cancer patients.
Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Francesca Amiker is a proud Communications Honor Society student minoring in Sociology & Corporate Strategy. When not filming her show, -Francesca in the City-, Francesca engages in campus life by being the President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the morning show anchor and the Director of Programming for Vanderbilt Television, the Resident Adviser on Dyer-Kissam 2, Co-Chairing VPB-s Great Performances Committee and cracking jokes with her friends. Upon graduation Francesca hopes to work with CBS News.
A true Memphian and Vanderbilt fanatic, Gheremey Edwards has dedicated his time to students and faculty as the VUcept Vice President. Spreading the mission of diversity through this position and others, Gheremey proves HE IS VANDERBILT as a multifaceted representative of society.
Lauren Holroyd is a double major in the College of Arts and Sciences in Neuroscience and Sociology from Brentwood, Tennessee. She is the Treasurer for Model United Nations, Area Representative for Vanderbilt Student Government, VUceptor and sister in Chi Omega.
Lisa Branding is from Libertyville, Illinois and is double-majoring in Sociology and Medicine, Health, and Society with a minor in Corporate Strategy. Lisa-s involvement on campus includes serving as a director of Dance Marathon, Vice President of Vanderbilt Programming Board, a three-year VUceptor, Philanthropy Chair and Treasurer of Delta Delta Delta, Student Alumni Board member, a Chancellor-s Host, Pencil Projects volunteer, Alternative Spring Break participant, Vanderbilt University Summer Research Program fellow, and is a College of Arts and Science College Scholar.
Mengting Ren has held leadership roles in the multicultural community (Asian-American Student Association, Multicultural Leadership Council, Vanderbilt Undergraduate Chinese Association), the Greek community (Alpha Chi Omega), the arts community (Vanderbilt Off-Broadway), and other pursuits (University Appellate Review Board, Phi Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity). She is also a VUceptor and Tour Guide.
Sarah Barr is a native of Tiburon, CA (San Francisco), and is a Child Studies Major and Spanish Minor. Her greatest involvements include Vice President of the Vanderbilt Performing Arts Council (experience with Original Cast and Concert Choir), Green Dots Committee Member and Advocate (Women-s Center), Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Reformed University Fellowship-Music Team (Banjo), VUcept, and Alternative Spring Break.
From leadership positions in VSG (Campus Services Co-chair, Hank Ingram President) and Model UN (Philanthropy Chair) to her roles as an RA and an Ingram scholar, Sloane Speakman has dedicated her time at Vanderbilt to positively impacting campus from day one. After studying abroad in Egypt and Israel, Sloane is excited to be back on campus, serving the Vanderbilt community as Chair of the Senior Class Fund.
Tyler Verdell is a pre-med student from Gleason, Tennessee, double-majoring in Spanish and Child Development with a double-minor in Biology and Chemistry. He is a co-founder and former president of the Vanderbilt Melodores, an active leader in the Baptist Collegiate Ministries, a member of Beta Upsilon Chi and a volunteer at the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children-s Hospital, and his plans after college include getting married and attending medical school to be a pediatrician.
Zye Hooks is originally from Florence, Alabama and is pursuing a double major in History and Latin American Studies. He is involved in VSG, the Honor Council, Phi Gamma Delta, and attends RUF.
