Safe Zone Training

Wednesday Sep. 28. 2016 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Alumni Hall 201

The Safe Zone  Training program aims to create a tangible  network of support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI+) individuals and their allies by providing an educational experience  through which any member of the Vanderbilt Community can show their support.  The three hour interactive workshop encourages students, faculty, and staff to explore their personal identities, cultural identities, privilege, and what it means to be an ally for all communities. After attending this workshop you have the choice to take a Safe Zone  Placard, which  indicate that you are someone who  has received training and is willing and able to engage around issues of sexual and gender identity.

Registration is currently open at  https://vanderbilt.edu/lgbtqi/get-educated/safe-zone.

Sponsored by the Office of LGBTQI Life
