Peer Guides are Vanderbilt undergraduate students who have received training in wellbeing. The Peer Guide Program provides undergraduate students a space to seek peer support and guidance in one or more of the following areas: emotional wellbeing, life transitions, personal health, self-efficacy, social support and relationship-building, and stress management.
Benefits to Serving as a Peer Guide:
- Gain knowledge and skills that support students during times of personal growth and/or challenge.
- Bolster your resume by highlighting coaching abilities and overall paraprofessional experience.
- Increase your knowledge of pertinent wellbeing practices and strategies.
- Enhance leadership, inter/intrapersonal communication, and Motivational Interviewing skills.
Please forward this information to students who may be interested in applying. If you know of anyone who is interested in meeting with a Peer Guide for individual coaching, please call the Center for Student Wellbeing at 615-322-0480 or drop into the Center to schedule an appointment.
