McGill Hour
“Governing the Commons: the Antarctic Treaty and the South China Sea”
Please join us for this week’s McGill Hour in which Professor Dan Morgan will discuss the Antarctic Treaty; the basic history and the governance framework that it sets up to oversee a continent without a state. He will then look at the ongoing issue in the South China Sea as a case study. It has been proposed that the South China Sea could be governed in a similar manner to Antarctica so he will explore the feasibility of such a system.
Thursday, Nov 5 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the McGill TV Lounge
