12:00 p.m.

Dr. Howard Gardner from Harvard University describes storytelling as a useful tool in leading others: “stories constitute the single most powerful weapon in a leader’s arsenal.” We invite you to join us for our first virtual Lunch and Learn of the semester: an informal discussion over lunch on Storytelling and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
In this month’s discussion, we want to open dialogue on how the act of telling our stories reinforces and intersects with efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in honor of women’s history month and Black history month (which just passed in February, but should always be celebrated). We are honored to be speaking with Dr. Kadia Edwards, who just completed her PhD dissertation on this very topic (particularly with the Black community). She was named to the 2017 “Emerging Leaders” class in Nashville, and we are honored that she will be leading our discussion.
This event will be held on Zoom and is open to both remote and in-person students.
