Autumn Pastorale
The Blair Woodwind Quintet, featuring the Quintet debut of new bassoon professor Peter Kolkay, presents an evening of lyricism and flare. The program will include Ravel-€™s enchanting  Le Tombeau de Couperin, Persichetti-€™s  Pastorale, and wind quintets by Zemlinky and Nielsen.

The Grammy-nominated ensemble returns for its 11th concert season, showcasing its signature blend of musical eclecticism and artistry. ALIAS-€™ fall concert is a century-spanning affair, with pieces composed dating from the 1600s all the way up to the turn of the most recent century. Taimur Sullivan, saxophone

The Art of the Transcription: Saxophone Remix
Taimur Sullivan presents a recital of monumental works from the Baroque through 20th Century, reinterpreted for the solo saxophone. Included on the program are Heinrich Biber-€™s Passacaglia,  Joan Tower-€™s Wings and Steve Reich-€™s New York Counterpoint. Sullivan is an acclaimed and prolific performer, as a soloist, chamber musician and as a member of the PRISM Quartet.
